Function and use: Cu catalyzes Fe to participate in the formation of heme, which promotes the maturation of early red blood cells. Cu is involved in the osteogenesis of animals, and is closely related to the mitochondrial collagen metabolism and melanin production, the pigmentation and keratinization of hair and feathers, and the formation of enzyme-related Cu-containing proteins. Cu is a component of many enzymes (cytochrome oxidase, etc.), diketone ion is a special activating factor of many enzymes (sulfide oxidase, pyruvate oxidase), and copper sulfate as a supplement of Cu element.

At present, the copper sulfate pentahydrate commonly added in feed has a relatively simple production process and many impurities. Because it has five crystal waters, the particles are large, it is easy to absorb moisture and agglomerate, the fluidity is not good, and the mixing uniformity is poor. At the same time, the remaining free acid will corrode the production and processing equipment, destroy the vitamins in the feed, and accelerate the oxidation of unsaturated fatty acids.
Compared with copper sulfate pentahydrate, copper sulfate monohydrate has the following advantages:
1. The copper content is high, the amount of addition is small, it is not easy to absorb moisture and agglomerate, it is resistant to storage and easy to use;
2. Fine particles, good fluidity and even distribution in feed;
3. Less impurities, effectively reduce the damage of copper source feed additives to the active ingredients such as vitamins and enzymes in premixes and concentrates. It is suitable for the production of high-end premixes and concentrated feeds, and is also suitable for copper-containing chelate compounds. And the production of medium and high-grade water-soluble fertilizers is very versatile.
Packaging, storage and transportation: The feed additive copper sulfate monohydrate is packed in food-grade low-pressure polyethylene film bags and coated with polypropylene woven bags, 25kg or 1000kg per bag.
Feed grade copper sulfate should be stored in a dry and ventilated place, sealed and stored, and it is prohibited to mix with toxic substances.
Handle with care during transportation to prevent damage to the packaging, and do not expose to sunlight or rain. Mixed storage and transportation with toxic substances are prohibited.
